Self-hosted, private by default

The complete guide to your growing baby.

Baby Atlas keeps the whole of your pregnancy in one calm place: what is happening this week, the appointments you need to remember, and the notes you want to keep. It runs on a server you control.

  • A week-by-week guide, written in plain language
  • One place for appointments, notes and measurements
  • Your own server. No analytics, no advertising

Setting up takes a couple of minutes. Every question after the first one can be skipped and answered later.

Week by week

Forty weeks, one at a time

Each week has a short read: what is commonly happening, what tends to be scheduled, and what people often want to ask about. Every article shows who reviewed it and when.

  1. 8First trimester

Early appointments and what they are for

What tends to be booked in these weeks, what each appointment covers, and the questions worth writing down before you go.

  2. 20Second trimester

    The mid-pregnancy scan

What the scan looks at and how long it usually takes, so you know what to expect from the appointment itself.

  3. 28Third trimester

Movement patterns and what to note

How to keep a record of movements in the way your own care team has asked you to, and where to keep their number.

  4. 36Third trimester

    Getting things ready

A checklist you can adapt: what to pack, who to tell, and the decisions worth making before you are tired.

Size comparisons are approximate and meant to be playful. Real measurements vary widely and are only meaningful when taken by your care team.

Keep track

Somewhere to put everything

Nothing here is compulsory and nothing is scored. Baby Atlas records what you enter and shows it back to you — it does not interpret it, and it does not tell you how you are doing.

  • How you are feeling

Record a symptom and how strong it was. Baby Atlas keeps the record and never tells you what it means.

  • Appointments

What is booked, where it is, and the questions you wanted to ask — written down before you are sitting in the room.

  • A journal

Write as much or as little as you like. Entries save as you type, so nothing is lost to a closed tab.

  • Checklists

Adaptable lists for each stage. Tick things off, add your own, ignore the ones that are not for you.

  • Everyday trackers

Water, vitamins, weight, movements. All optional, and every one can be hidden if you would rather not see it.

  • Documents

Scan results and letters kept alongside the appointment they came from, rather than in a folder on a phone.

What it looks like

One purpose per screen

No dashboard of competing widgets. Each screen does one thing, in a readable size, with the important action obvious and everything else out of the way.

Illustrations of three screens. The details shown are examples, not real records.

Partner mode

Share the parts you want to share

Invite a partner, a family member or a friend, and pick exactly what they can see. Anything you have not shared is refused by the server, not merely hidden from their screen.

You can change what someone can see at any time, or remove their access entirely. They get their own account and their own password; nothing is shared through a link that anyone with the address could open.

An example invitation

This is what you would be choosing when you invite someone.

Private by design

Your pregnancy is not a data set

Pregnancy apps have a poor record here. Baby Atlas is built the other way round: the software is self-hosted, so there is no business model that depends on knowing anything about you.

  • It runs on your server

There is no Baby Atlas company holding your records. The installation you sign in to is the only place your data exists.

  • Nothing is measuring you

No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

  • It works without signal

Pages you have read stay readable offline, and anything you write is kept on your device until it can be sent.

  • Take it with you

Export everything you have entered whenever you want, in a format other software can read. Delete it just as easily.

The privacy page lists exactly what is stored, what is never written to a log, and who can see what.

Start whenever you are ready

You only need an email address and a due date — and if you do not know your due date, Baby Atlas can work it out from the date you do know.
